Oh, here's a pretty straightforward and practical overview of all the things you can do with Photoshop. (Other photo-editing programs have the same or similar functionality.)

The last one. Definately.
I concur --the last one is the best of the three. Unfortunately, I want something with the sky and a horizon line (so I can put extraterrestrial phenomena in the image); however, I do not like the one with the woman.
